Tokyo, December 30th, 2024 –LunaTone Inc. (Headquarters: Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Baro Hyun, hereinafter referred to as LunaTone) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded by Ibaraki Prefecture to organize and manage the “Ibaraki Metaverse Cultural Exchange Program 2024” (hereafter “the Program”). Recognizing the importance of fostering international awareness among young people as “global talent” equipped with language skills, initiative, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding, Ibaraki Prefecture has launched this initiative. In the metaverse, mixed teams of students from Ibaraki Prefecture and South Korea will collaborate to tackle missions involving esports.
Using the virtual space of the metaverse, the program offers participants opportunities to experience other cultures and improve their language skills. Through the Program, participants will not only enhance their esports skills and language proficiency but also deepen their understanding of different cultures, setting the stage for them to pursue global opportunities in the future.
[ Program Schedule ]
・Saturday, February 8, 2025 (Afternoon, approximately 2 hours)
→ Orientation, team assignments, and a team-based escape game
・Sunday, February 9, 2025 (Afternoon, approximately 2 hours)
→ Metaverse cross-cultural exchange game and team interaction
・Saturday, February 15, 2025 (Afternoon, approximately 2 hours)
→ Team assignments and a team-based escape game
・Sunday, February 16, 2025 (Afternoon, approximately 2 hours)
→ Metaverse cross-cultural exchange game and a social gathering
[ Event Details ]
・Participants will access Roblox via their smartphones or PCs and join the dedicated event map online.
・Communication with team members will be conducted using Discord.
・The event will be conducted in Korean and English.
[ Eligibility ]
・Students enrolled at or attending the following schools located in Ibaraki Prefecture.
・Students residing in Ibaraki Prefecture and enrolled at the following schools: Universities (including junior colleges and graduate schools), Technical colleges, Vocational schools, High schools, Secondary schools (upper division), Special needs schools (high school division).
・Must be able to participate in all four scheduled sessions.
[ Number of Participants ]
・12 students from Ibaraki Prefecture.
※ The event will be held with a total of 20 participants, including 8 students from South Korea.
※ Participants from South Korea are expected to include university students (e.g., from Seoul National University).

LunaTone Inc.は、茨城県から「『いばらきメタバース交換留学 2024』運営業務委託」（以下、本業務）を受託し、本業務の企画・運営を行いました。
茨城県では、若者の「語学力」、「主体性や協調性」、「異文化理解」を兼ね備えた「グローバル人材」としての国際感覚の醸成が重要であることから、仮想空間「メタバース」を用いて異文化を体験しながら言語の習得につなげる取り組みとして「メタバース交換留学」が実施されることとなりました。メタバース空間上で、茨城県内の学生と韓国の学生による混合チームを結成し、eスポーツを用いたミッションに協力して挑みます。
本業務を通して、海外の同世代との交流によりeスポーツスキルや語学力の向上だけではなく、異文化への理解、将来海外で活躍できるグローバル人材への第一歩を踏み出すきっかけとなることを目指します。
【開催概要
・2025年2月8日（土）午後（2時間程度）
→オリエンテーション、チーム分け、チーム対抗脱出ゲーム
・2025年2月9日（日）午後（2時間程度）
→メタバース異文化交流ゲーム、チーム交流
・2025年2月15日（土）午後（2時間程度）
→チーム分け、チーム対抗脱出ゲーム
・2025年2月16日（日）午後（2時間程度）
→メタバース異文化交流ゲーム、懇親会
【開催方法】
・参加者が持つスマートフォン又はPCからRobloxにアクセスし、イベントの専用マップにてオンラインで開催
・チームメンバーとのコミュニケーションはDiscordを使用
・イベント時は韓国語・英語を使用
【参加条件】
・茨城県内に所在する以下の学校に在籍（通学）する学生・生徒
・茨城県に在住しており、以下の学校に在籍する学生・生徒
大学（短期大学・大学院を含む）、高等専門学校、専修学校、高等学校、中等教育学校（後期課程）、特別支援学校（高等部）
・全4回の日程全てに参加できること
【募集人数】
・学生・生徒12名
※イベントは韓国の学生8名を加えた20名で開催します。
※韓国側の参加者は韓国の大学生（ソウル大学等）を予定しています。
