Advancing Game-Based Capability Development and Global Student Programs
LunaTone Inc. (Head Office: Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Baro Hyun; hereinafter “LunaTone”), a Playable Capability Development Studio for the Gen-AI Era, today announced the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Yonsei University*, establishing a cross-border initiative spanning educational game development, research, and international student internship pathways.
The agreements formalize LunaTone’s work with the Yonsei-Korean Metaverse Lab (YKML) and its collaboration with the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) at Yonsei University, creating a bridge between academic research, applied learning, and global student mobility.
Educational Game Development and Research Collaboration
Under the agreement with the Yonsei-Korean Metaverse Lab (YKML), LunaTone and YKML will collaborate on the co-development of educational games and immersive learning experiences that integrate Korean language, literature, and digital culture with game design and interactive storytelling. The collaboration also includes opportunities for workshops, pilot programs, collaborative production, knowledge exchange, and future research and publication initiatives.
This partnership aims to explore new models of humanities-driven, game-based education, combining academic inquiry with experiential and simulation-based learning approaches.
Global Internship Pathway
In parallel, LunaTone will support internship opportunities connected to Yonsei-related academic programs, including those associated with the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) at Yonsei University, creating applied learning pathways for students to engage in real-world international projects.
Internship activities may include educational game development, digital content production, game-based learning projects, research assistance, localization, and other cross-border creative and educational initiatives aligned with LunaTone’s work.
This initiative is designed to connect students with project-based learning opportunities at the intersection of education, creativity, and interactive digital environments.
Building a Cross-Border Capability Development Framework
Together, the two MOUs establish a foundation for a broader cross-border capability development framework linking academic institutions, industry practice, and international student mobility. By combining Yonsei University’s strengths in humanities and digital research with LunaTone’s expertise in interactive systems and applied learning, the collaboration aims to create scalable educational models aligned with the needs of the Gen-AI era.

ゲームを活用したケイパビリティ開発およびグローバル人材育成プログラムを推進
LunaTone Inc.（本社：東京都港区六本木、CEO：ヒョン・バロ、以下、LunaTone）は、韓国の延世大学*（Yonsei University）と基本合意書（MOU）を2つ締結したことを発表いたします。1つ目はYonsei-Korean Metaverse Lab（YKML）と教育ゲームの共同研究・開発の連携、2つ目はUniversity of California Education Abroad Program（UCEAP）との連携を通じて、学術研究・実践的学習・グローバル人材の流動性を結びつける枠組みを構築するものです。この2つの合意により、LunaToneは同大学とゲームを活用したケイパビリティ開発の連携、ならびに国際的なインターンシップ機会の創出を含む分野横断的かつ越境型の取り組みを推進してまいります。
YKMLと教育ゲームの共同研究および開発の連携
YKMLとの連携においては、韓国語・文学・文化といった人文学領域と、ゲームデザインやインタラクティブ・ストーリーテリングを融合させた教育ゲームおよび体験型学習コンテンツの共同開発に取り組みます。ワークショップやパイロットプログラムの実施、共同制作、ナレッジ共有に加え、将来的な研究発表や出版なども視野に入れた連携を推進していく予定です。本連携を通じて、学術的探究と体験型・シミュレーション型学習を組み合わせた、人文学発のゲームをベースとした新たな教育モデルの創出を目指します。
UCEAPと連携したグローバル・インターンシップ機会の創出
延世大学の関連プログラム、ならびに同大学におけるUCEAPと連動した枠組みを通じて、学生向けのインターンシップ機会の提供を推進します。併せて、学生が国際プロジェクトに参画できる実践的な学習機会を創出していきます。インターンシップでは、LunaToneの事業領域に即した教育ゲーム開発、デジタルコンテンツ制作、ゲームベース学習プロジェクト、リサーチ支援、ローカライゼーションなど、多様な活動に携わることを想定しています。本取り組みは、教育・創造・デジタル領域が交差する環境において、プロジェクトベースに実践的な学習機会を提供することを目的としています。
越境型ケイパビリティ開発フレームワークの構築
本2つのMOUにより、大学・産業界・国際的な人材流動を促進する、より広範囲な越境型のケイパビリティ開発フレームワークの基盤を構築します。延世大学の人文学・デジタル分野における研究基盤と、LunaToneのインタラクティブシステムおよび実践型学習設計の知見を掛け合わせることで、生成AI時代に対応した持続可能かつ拡張性の高い教育モデルの確立を推進します。

게임 기반 역량 개발 및 글로벌 인재 양성 프로그램 추진
루나톤 합동회사 (LunaTone Inc., 본사: 일본 도쿄 미나토구 롯폰기, 대표: 현바로)는 한국의 연세대학교와 2건의 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약을 통해 교육용 게임 개발, 연구 협력, 글로벌 인턴십 기회 창출을 아우르는 분야 간·국경 간 협력을 추진할 예정이다.
이번 협력은 연세대학교 내 Yonsei-Korean Metaverse Lab(YKML)과의 공동 연구 및 개발, 그리고 University of California Education Abroad Program(UCEAP)과의 연계를 통해 학술 연구, 실천적 학습, 글로벌 인재 이동성을 연결하는 구조를 구축하는 데 목적이 있다.
교육용 게임 개발 및 연구 협력
YKML과의 협력을 통해 한국어·문학·문화 등 인문학 분야와 게임 디자인 및 인터랙티브 스토리텔링을 결합한 교육용 게임 및 체험형 학습 콘텐츠를 공동으로 개발할 예정이다. 또한 워크숍, 파일럿 프로그램, 공동 제작, 지식 교류를 비롯해 향후 연구 발표 및 출판까지 포함한 다양한 협력 활동을 추진한다.
이를 통해 학문적 탐구와 체험형·시뮬레이션 기반 학습을 결합한 새로운 인문학 기반 게임 교육 모델을 모색한다.
글로벌 인턴십 기회 창출
아울러 연세대학교의 관련 프로그램 및 UCEAP와 연계된 체계를 통해 학생들을 위한 인턴십 기회를 확대할 계획이다. 이를 통해 학생들이 실제 국제 프로젝트에 참여할 수 있는 실천 중심의 학습 기회를 제공한다.
인턴십 활동에는 교육용 게임 개발, 디지털 콘텐츠 제작, 게임 기반 학습 프로젝트, 리서치 지원, 현지화(localization) 등 LunaTone의 주요 사업 영역과 연계된 다양한 활동이 포함될 예정이다.
본 프로그램은 교육, 창의, 디지털 영역이 융합된 환경에서 프로젝트 기반 학습 기회를 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다.
글로벌 역량 개발 프레임워크 구축
이번 두 건의 MOU를 통해 대학, 산업, 국제 인재 이동성을 연결하는 보다 확장된 글로벌 역량 개발 프레임워크의 기반이 마련된다.
연세대학교의 인문학 및 디지털 분야 연구 역량과 LunaTone의 인터랙티브 시스템 및 실천형 학습 설계 역량을 결합함으로써, 생성형 AI 시대에 부합하는 확장 가능한 교육 모델을 구축해 나갈 계획이다.
